WSCC has a levy transfer fund that local businesses (and training providers) are invited to apply for at intervals throughout the year. The fund is currently closed, however in order to support future requests, the council would like to make the below requests/reminders:
- Transfer funding can only be made when an employer adds their learners meaning training providers who set up apprentices on digital accounts can not access funding – please ensure the employer adds the learners.
- If you are supporting a levy payer who is seeking transfer funding, please check what funding is held in their account to ensure that the receiving employer’s own levy pot has been exhausted before making the request otherwise it will be rejected.
- An SME who employ an apprentice who is 16-18 or up to 25 with an EHCP will have their apprenticeship fully funded so a levy transfer is unnecessary.
