With 30 years’ experience as a BBC journalist, he focuses on agile communications, confidence & quick thinking in unfamiliar situations. There’s no jargon and there are no dreary powerpoints. He creates a live TV news environment to generate surprise, snap decisions, challenge & fun. John has worked in more than 80 schools & colleges in the South East. He recently trained graduates at American Express, junior managers at Gatwick Airport & the Senior Management Team at EasyJet.
I create and deliver training and development focused on communication skills for the world of work. These include choosing how to communicate; critical thinking; overcoming obstacles; communication in change programmes; communication for managers; influencing and persuading; negotiation skills. Clients include overseas governments, training colleges, universities, special interest groups, professional bodies, an NHS trust, and individuals. All the sessions assess then address specific needs, requirements, or problems. All are highly practical.

As an experienced facilitator with over 30 years working in business including recruitment, training, sales and entrepreneurship & enterprise education, Beki Tonks works with business, education and local authorities to support young people with information and engagement with the world of work. She facilitates the Adur & Worthing Careers Professionals Group, mentors young people through work placements and delivers apprenticeship information as an ASK Facilitator. Beki specialises in supporting young people with moderate learning disabilities through work related learning.
