Moving On Up Programme

The Moving On Up programme is a new initiative that offers any East Sussex resident living in supported or temporary accommodation, or at risk of homelessness, the opportunity to secure an apprenticeship or employment, and permanent housing.

Employers who take part in the scheme will be making a real difference to people’s lives. Employers are asked to pay no less than a minimum wage of £12,000 per year and can claim a £2,000 Moving On Up employer incentive which could help with salary costs. Employers will receive full impartial guidance and support to take on an apprentice or employee and to apply for incentives. Find out more about the scheme and how to get involved on our Moving On Up project page.

Individuals who take part in the scheme will receive help to secure an apprenticeship or job and get pre-employment training and in-work mentoring support. They will also receive practical help with securing permanent accommodation including access to a rental deposit of up to £3,000. Click on the image on the right for more information.
