SASE Higher Apprenticeships – Impact of Change in Funding Rules

by | 0 comments

Apprenticeship Certificates England (ACE) have notified providers about how a change in the apprenticeship funding rules for 18/19 impacts existing SASE Higher Apprenticeships. The changes around having a Level 2 qualification in maths and English and spending 20% of their hours on off the job training, were not updated in the SASE regulations. The Department for Education has confirmed that providers need to comply with funding rules. ACE state that any apprentices starting a Higher Apprenticeship on or after 1 August 2019 will be required to achieve the Level 2 English and maths and fulfil the 20% off the job training requirement to align certification with funding rules.
