Ofqual carried out a Functional Skills Qualifications (FSQs) Policy Consultation, which ran from 27 September – 22 November 2017. Ofqual has now considered the responses received and published the decisions taken which can be seen in this ETF communication here. This is not to be confused with Ofqual’s more detailed consultation on the proposed rules and guidance for new FSQs in English and maths. This builds on the decisions they have taken and includes the detailed proposals for regulating reformed FSQs in English and maths, as well as the draft rules and guidance they are proposing to introduce. These rules will sit alongside the existing rules and guidance for all qualifications. This consultation closes on the 11th May.
