The Resolution Foundation has published a report ‘The Full Monty – Facing up to the challenge of the coronavirus labour market crisis’. The report looks at how the labour market has been hit hard and fast and how the impact is highly sector-specific. They argue that the government need to act quickly to help prevent redundancies in the hard-hit sectors, to generate new jobs elsewhere in the economy and give the unemployed support to take up those jobs.
