Ofsted to Have Greater Funds and Power for Apprenticeship Inspection

FE Week is reporting that Ofsted ‘will now be given potentially as much as £7 million to visit every new apprenticeship provider. Critically, it will also have the final say over quality’. There is no official announcement as yet, but it looks like anomalies over responsibility for the quality of apprenticeships and the lack of resources for Ofsted to inspect the high number of new apprenticeships providers exposed recently by the Education Select Committee, have been quickly addressed.
