Big changes to the current Data Protection Act (DPA) 1998 will come into force in May 2018 under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and will have serious implications as to how all businesses, including the FE sector holds and processes personal data.
SCTP are arranging a session for members from an experienced GDPR practitioner to inform them about the changes and what they need to be doing to comply with the legal requirements. There will be a presentation on key areas about GDPR, followed by a Q&A session. We are hoping to run the session after the members meeting on 22 March at Clair Hall in Haywards Heath, but will confirm this as soon as possible.
