ESFA Publishes Subcontracting Data

For the first time, the ESFA has published the result of subcontracting data collection completed by all prime contractors in receipt of funding last year. The ESFA today has also updated their information and assurance certificate for in-scope providers and employer-providers who subcontract ESFA funding. AELP’s Simon Ashworth also gave an analysis of the subcontracting picture at the recent AELP conference. Meanwhile, commenting on the data, former skills minister Robert Halfon is reported to have called subcontracting fee levels ‘scandalous’ while the DfE is reported to have ‘no concerns’.
