East Sussex Post-16 Mental Health and Emotional Well-Being Event

The East Sussex Post-16 Mental Health and Emotional Well-Being (MHEW) working group has arranged another networking event, that is free and open to any Mental Health Leads, Careers Leads, Pastoral staff from FE settings, sixth forms, schools (KS4) and post-16 training providers in East Sussex on Thursday 23rd March from 12.00-16.30 at East Sussex College Group, Eastbourne Campus – Kings Restaurant BN21 2XE. Presentations and group activities will be between 1.00pm and 4.15pm and the agenda will cover:

  • MHEW updates and signposting to support
  • Vulnerable Learners Protocol review and updates
  • MHEW support for post-16 from East Sussex School Health Service
  • Emotionally Based School Avoidance update

Further to feedback, the MHEW working group have also set up termly virtual MHEW networking meetings for post-16 staff in East Sussex to discuss topical MHEW-related issues. These 1-hour sessions are free and will be facilitated by members of the post-16 MHEW working group and are to provide a place for you to meet and share challenges and practice, and gain support and advice.  This is not training – it’s an opportunity for you to raise themes that are arising in your work, and to network with peers.All sessions are from 4-5pm.  Please book your place using the booking links below:
