The Institute for Apprenticeships has defended the rise in management apprenticeships, amid stark warnings about the fate of those at level two from the CEO of the Association of Employment and Learning Providers. The latter welcomed degree apprenticeships as a positive ‘game changer’ but cautioning that ‘There will be some very sharp-elbowed middle class parents knocking everyone else out of the way to get their kids into a non-debt apprenticeship with a degree and a salary, why wouldn’t you do that?’.
