Concerns Continue About GCSE Resits Policy

The sector remains concerned about the impact of the Government’s GCSE resit policy which requires all learners not achieving a good grade (a ‘C’ or a ‘4’) in English and maths have to resit. Latest GCSE results show the resit pass rates falling and the numbers resitting due to increase, putting more pressure on providers.
