AELP Reports On Ministerial Response To Non-Levy Procurement Lobbying

by | 0 comments

AELP, the national provider network has received a reply from the Skills Minister, Anne Milton regarding its calls to review the non-levy apprenticeship procurement outcomes given the potentially dangerous consequences for employer choice and maintaining a high quality provider base. The letter states that there will be no change to the decision and that for legal reasons the procurement process will stand. AELP is calling on all interested parties to lobby their MPs, especially employers who may not now be able to work with their long-term trusted provider. In the meantime the Government press release announces what a good job they feel they have done. Little consolation for those SCTP members who have not received an allocation despite scoring well in their application. We will continue to work with them and will renew our efforts after the Christmas break.
