AELP Launches ITP Code of Good Governance

by | 0 comments

National provider network AELP has launched a consultation on a new draft Code for Good Governance for independent training providers, based around the Nolan Principles and supported by the FE Trust for Leadership (FETL). AELP CEO commented ‘As organisations that receive public money, it is important ITPs demonstrate good governance – in particular relating to the standards expected in public life.  The challenge is the varying size and nature of ITPs.  A whole variety of approaches are currently used – corporate code, charities code, college code – sometimes their own code…we have created a code with 7 key principles.  These are then exemplified in the document’. Comments on the draft can be submitted to Paul Warner at AELP.
