Sue Husband, the director of the National Apprenticeships Service has mounted a strident defence of the controversial 20-per-cent off-the-job training requirement during her speech at the Annual Apprenticeship Conference this week. David Hughes from AoC agreed as did Emily Chapman of the NUS while Mark Dawe of AELP argued for more flexibility in interpretation. See more here.
