Ofqual has announced that the proposals set out in their consultation on the arrangements for the assessment and awarding of Vocational and Technical and Other General Qualifications (VTQ) in 2020 to 2021, which ran for two weeks in August, are being implemented in full. The consultation decisions document outlines these arrangements. This includes the decision not to use calculated grades to award VTQs again. Further information on this is discussed in this article.
In the second stage of their consultation on the proposed arrangements for 2020 – 2021, Oqual has launched a new consultation. This is consulting on a further draft version of the Extended Extraordinary Regulatory Framework (ERF) to put the arrangements from the first consultation into effect. It is includes revised principles, the statutory guidance they have developed to guide awarding organisations’ decisions around adaptation, and statutory guidance on Special Consideration. This consultation is open now and closes on 20 September.
