The Confederation of British Industry (CBI), in partnership with Pearson, has published the 2018 CBI Education and Skills Annual Report. The report highlights that more than three-quarters (79%) of businesses expect to increase the number of higher-skilled roles over the coming years, however two-thirds (66%) fear that there will be a lack of sufficiently skilled people to fill vacancies. The businesses were also surveyed about the impact of the apprenticeship levy, business engagement with young people in education and re-skilling the existing workforce.
