The Institute for Public Policy Research has published a report exploring the impact of the new legislation which came into effect one year ago which stipulates that schools must ensure that a ‘range of education and training providers’ have access to pupils from year 8 to year 13, commonly known as the Baker clause. The report states that compliance with the Baker clause has been very poor and further action needs to be taken. Sector response to the report is here.
