The FE statistics just published have revealed that there has been a drop in adults studying English and maths. The statistics show that there has been a 13.7% fall from 2017/18 figures, with achievements also falling by 13.1%. The figures also show that the number of adult learners taking part in education and training programmes (excluding apprenticeships) fell by 4.2% and participation in community learning courses fell by 2.8%.
