The Sussex Learning Network has held 3 regional NCOP forums – in West Sussex, East Sussex and Brighton & Hove. The forums are designed to bring together the participants in the various strands of the National Collaborative Outreach Programme which promotes higher education and especially encourages participation for people from disadvantaged areas. SCTP attended the Brighton forum and were pleased to meet people from a range of projects including parent ambassadors working within their schools. The programme supports SCTP’s Apprenticeships in Sussex (AIS) brand to promote work-based learning routes at schools and community venues across Sussex. For example AIS is visiting Davison High School in Worthing on the 28 March and promoting apprenticeships to their entire Year 10. You can find out more about NCOP on SLN’s new website here.
