Select Committee Presses Government over Responsibility for Quality of Apprenticeships

More from today’s Education Select Committee session looking at a whole range of issues relating to the quality of apprenticeships as well as monitoring of new providers; provision for 16 to 18 year olds; financial support, such as transport costs, for young apprentices; the benefits system acting as a barrier to entry; lack of guidance for schools over the levy; the Baker clause for giving providers access to school pupils; early warnings to Ofsted about poor quality; and innovative approaches resulting from devolution.
