The Department for Education has opened the second round of the Taking Teaching Further programme, inviting bids from post 16 providers to attract industry professionals to teach in further education. The first round of the £5 million scheme, which is being managed by the Education and Training Foundation, was launched in June with providers supporting industry professionals to retrain to work as teachers in their institutions.
