Over forty members gathered at Crawley Borough Council today for SCTP’s November Members’ Meeting. The meeting included new member intros from Catch 22, City & Guilds, e-Learning WMB and MWS Technology and updates on SCTP activity including, board elections, finances, website usage stats and project activity. Members heard presentations from Selina Stewart from the ETF on free online Prevent resources; Kirsten Trussell from the Coast 2 Capital LEP on the emerging direction of their new Strategic Economic Plan and how members could input into this and David Sampson from the Institute for Apprenticeships explained the standards approval system and raised some issues which were debated by members. Members had the chance to network and highlight key issues for SCTP to take forward in its lobbying and representation role. Minutes will be issued to members shortly but for those who need early access to the presentations they will soon be uploaded to the resources page of the SCTP website. The next Members’ Meeting is at Plumpton Village Hall on the 18th January 10.00-1.00 with the AGM preceding this between 9.30-10.00. We are anticipating speakers from the South East LEP, ESFA and East Sussex County Council.
