The ESFA today announced details of the new rules for training providers applying for and securing a place on the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP). To gain a place of the RoATP, providers must now prove they have actively traded for 12 months, are financially stable, skilled and are able to deliver quality apprenticeship training, before they apply, rather than when they begin delivery.
The new register requires that all organisations delivering apprenticeship training must be of the RoATP. By August 2019, it will be a funding requirement for all subcontractors delivering apprenticeship training to be listed on the RoATP including those delivering less than £100k a year as a subcontractor. The register will open for applications on 12 December 2018 and will remain open throughout the year, with no closing date. You can read the full announcement from the ESFA here and guidance on applying to the register is available here. LSECT have announced a free webinar on 27 November (tomorrow) covering all the key aspects of the redesigned RoATP, you can book here.
