Get Career Confident, Sussex Learning Network, East Sussex and Coast to Capital Careers Hubs, working with Elev8Careers and Learn Live, are running a large-scale Sussex-wide virtual post-16 pathways event called What Next Sussex. The event provides a platform for all Sussex providers to showcase their offers to schools, learners and families. Using an online platform and broadcasting technology from Learn Live, the event will reach learners at home and at school through video, other resources and live chat, all streamed during two live events on 4 November. In addition, provider resources will be available online in advance of the event and after the event via the Get Career Confident website. This event is fully funded and completely free of charge to contributors and attendees. The two live events on 4 November will take place at 13:30 – 15:00 during school time and then between 18:00 – 19:30 for families. The event will also involve a static virtual showcase of the organisations on the Get Career Confident website (from early October) and on the Learn Live platform (following the live broadcast). To take part you need to be able to provide information, video and links to and about your organisation for publication on the Get Career Confident and Learn Live websites. To be part of the live event, a representative from your organisation will need to be available during the events on 4 November to answer questions from learners and supporters. The Q&A will run through Zoom but without video, using the chat function. To take part, you will need to complete two forms: contact information and content collation. There are guidance notes on completing the forms. If you have any issues in accessing the forms, please contact Charlie Field on c.n.field@brighton.ac.uk.
