The Department for Education has published a new T Level action plan for 2019. The action plan includes information on their progress in the development and launch of T Levels from 2020, how government is reforming technical education as set out in the post-16 skills plan, T Level policy areas, including industry placements, grading, results and certification and UCAS points and confirms the next steps and opportunities for engagement by interested parties. The action plan states that the Invitation to Tender (ITT) process for the T Levels that will be delivered from September 2022 will be launched by the Institute in spring 2020, with a view to announcing the successful bodies in autumn 2020. The action plan clarifies that providers successful for 2022 T Level delivery will be able to offer T Levels introduced in 2020 and 2021, as well as those introduced in 2022. The T Level guidance page has been updated to reflect the new action plan.
