In January a report was published by EDSK claiming that employers and universities were mis-labelling training courses as apprenticeships in order to use their levy funding. Amongst other recommendations, it recommended that the term apprenticeships should only be used for Level 3 training. In an article challenging this reports findings, Lucy Hunte, the National Programme Manager for Apprenticeships from Health Education England,  talks about the importance of all levels of apprenticeships from Level 2 to level 7 and how they are being used to help with critical shortages within the NHS.
