Following a competitive procurement process, the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE) has awarded a new two-year contract to Open Awards for the provision of External Quality Assurance (EQA). Open Awards have been delivering EQA for the IfATE since 2017. The IfATE will be publishing a new EQA framework in the next few months which they say will ensure quality, consistency and credibility in apprenticeship assessment across all EQA providers.
