The Government is launching the new ‘Connect to Work’ employability programme, in Spring 2025, and East Sussex County Council will be the Accountable Body for the delivery of the programme in East Sussex. Connect to Work is outlined in the Government’s ‘Get Britain Working’ Plan, and will help individuals with disabilities, long term health conditions or complex barriers to work to secure work through specific delivery models called Individual Placement & Support (IPS) and Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF).
The ESCC Employability and Skills Team will oversee the programme and is currently working up their delivery plan with the DWP. They will be seeking stakeholders, able to deliver the programme to a high standard and meet set targets who have or can recruit Employment Specialists to deliver this work.
ESCC is holding an online stakeholder event at 10am on 14th January 2025 for any organisation that would like to find out more and/or may be interested in delivering the programme in East Sussex. They are likely to award multiple grants across the county. If you would like to attend the meeting, please register your interest. Invites will be sent one week prior to the event.
