East Sussex County Council (ESCC) would like to remind all post 16 providers of the need to inform them if any East Sussex 16 or 17 year old students leave their education/training programme before completion. This will enable ESCC to ensure steps are made to help re-engage the young person. This is a statutory duty under Section 13 of the Education & Skills Act 2008. Please let the ESCC Aspire data team know in the first instance and also inform them if you know where and what they are doing (i.e. NEET, in employment, with other training provider etc).
