The Careers and Enterprise Company (CEC) have published a report entitled State of the Nation 2018, looking at the performances of schools and colleges against the eight Gatsby Benchmarks, which measure the quality of careers education and guidance. Their report finds that schools and colleges across the country are getting better at preparing young people for the world of work. More information on the CEC from FE Week here.
Another analysis from FE Week suggested that 6th Forms were performing less well than other schools, something that has been anecdotally reported for some time.
