The Confederation of British Industry (CBI) has published a report entitled ‘Getting Apprenticeships Right: Next Steps‘. The report includes a number of recommendations for both the government and the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE). The recommendations include speeding up the apprenticeship standards approval process and setting up an appeals system that gives employers longer to spend their Levy money where relevant standards are still in development. You can read their introduction to the report here, with more details here, and some sector response to the report can be read here.
