Mencap have published a report entitled ‘Access All Areas‘ looking at how to make apprenticeships more accessible to people with a learning disability and/or difficulty. The recommendations from the report include removing the age cap on traineeships for people with a learning disability, making the maths and English requirements more flexible for those with a learning disability or difficulty and exploring how providers and End-Point Assessors who are good at inclusive practices could be made more visible to employers and prospective apprentices.
