The Chief Executive of the University Vocational Awards Council (UVAC) has written an article discussing T levels and the importance of engaging the HE sector in their specification and design if T levels learners are to progress onto HE programmes. He also discusses the importance of Applied General such as BTEC Nationals, which he believes “have made a significant contribution to supporting young people progress to higher education”, with a plea to the government not to lose these and other qualifications which have contributed to widening participation and social mobility.
