IfATE Publishes Framework for EQA of Apprenticeship End-Point Assessments

The Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE) has announced the publication of a new framework setting out how apprenticeship End-Point Assessments (EPA) must be externally quality assured. The framework looks at what good practice in EPA looks like, and what External Quality Assurance (EQA) providers should look out for to be confident this has happened. The framework reveals that EPA organisations will be graded with a risk rating by EQA providers. Initially these grades weren’t going to be shared, but following concerns, the IfATE have now said the grades will be shared with the individual EPA organisation, but won’t be made public. More details are here.
