The government has released figures showing that the country’s digital sector contributed £149 billion to the UK in 2018, accounting for 7.7% of the UK economy. The figures take into account the contributions of digital businesses up and down the country across a range of specialisms. They have also revealed that the UK’s Creative Industries sector contributed more than £111 billion to the UK economy in 2018.
