The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has published the young people not in education, employment or training (NEET) statistics for the period October to December 2019. The statistics show that there were 763,000 young people (aged 16 to 24 years) in the UK who were not in education, employment or training (NEET) in October to December 2019; this was a decrease of 26,000 compared with October to December 2018 and was down 38,000 compared with July to September 2019. There is some comment from the Local Government Association on the figures here.
