The Chancellor has delivered the government’s spending round for 2019, a summary can be seen here. He confirmed the news already published of a £400 million increase in 16 to 19 funding next year, with an increase in the base rate to £4188. He also announced an additional £10 million to teach English for speakers of other languages as part of the Integration Areas Programme.
