SCTP’s March Members’ Conference was held at Clair Hall in Haywards Heath on 21 March. Members were updated about the current SCTP Board and Executive Team, details of this can be seen on our SCTP Team website page. Members heard presentations from James Maltby, from Plumpton College, about the use of technology in vocational learning and from Craig Garton, from CXK, about the National Careers Service and how they can work with providers to offer CEIAG. Josie Ward, from East Sussex Highways, gave members an employer’s perspective into apprenticeships and working with training providers and Ben Payne, from the Education & Skills Funding Agency, gave an update on the latest news with regard to funding policy and answered questions. Minutes will be issued to members shortly and the presentations from the meeting will be available on the resources page of the SCTP website.
