Thank you for all our members who attended the latest SCTP members’ conference at Crawley College on 18 July. Members heard presentations from Christina Dennis on behalf of the Coast to Capital LEP Skills 360˚ Board about the work towards their Local Industrial Strategy. Clarissa Wheeler, from NCFE, the conference sponsor, gave members an update about NCFE’s current work and direction of travel. Nicole Williamson from ECP ltd presented members with a very informative session on safeguarding in education and finally Graham Young from the ESFA gave an update on the latest news with regard to funding policy.
Members had the chance to network and discuss issues around the new ESFA subcontracting rules, safeguarding issues, functional skills and AEB funding. Notes from the conference will be issued to members shortly, the presentations from the speakers are on the members resources page of the SCTP website.
The next members’ conference will be held at Clair Hall in Haywards Heath on 19 September, 09:30 – 13:00.
