The Department for Education (DfE) has published a study which examined the online learning and artificial intelligence education markets (AIEd) and their effectiveness in supporting the development of skills in the workforce. Amongst its recommendations are for the DfE and its partners to issue guidance and training on how FE and HE providers should use online learning and AIEd to provide high quality learning and that the DfE should fund the development of ‘test bed’ AIEd products to be used by the FE sector. Jisc have welcomed the recommendations in the review and say that they will continue to work to help deliver engaging, interactive AIEd and online learning.
