The Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman has published a report about the Education, Health and Care Plan process, looking at the experiences of many of the children and young people who have special educational needs or disabilities (SEND), and their families, who have recently brought their complaints to the Ombudsman. The Local Government Association have highlighted that this report supports their concerns that councils are in danger of being unable to meet their statutory duties for children with special educational needs.
