New Report Claims Reforms Led to Higher Quality Apprenticeships but Less New Starters

The Resolution Foundation has published a report into the apprenticeship reforms claiming that they have led to a drop in the number of lower-quality apprenticeships in low-paying sectors. They warn however that more businesses are now offering apprenticeships to existing employees who tend to be older and that more needs to be done to ensure apprenticeships remain a route for new starters and for younger people.
