The ESFA has published a new ‘oversight of Independent Training Providers‘ operational guidance. They state that their aims with this new intervention strategy are to ‘eradicate low quality training provision, protect learners and public funds’. The new strategy sees the current minimum standards policy only applying for one final year for the 2019-2020 academic year and the ESFA will then instead use ‘all education performance data available’ to them earlier in their overall risk assessments.
