The Government has announced increases to the National Living Wage and the National Minimum Wage, coming into effect from 1 April. The National Living Wage (for those 25 and over) is increasing by 6.2% to £8.72 per hour . The National Minimum Wage is increasing across all age groups, with the apprentice minimum wage rate rising by 6.4% to £4.15. It has been reported that employer representative organisations have said the apprentice minimum wage increase should be manageable for businesses.
