The National Audit Office (NAO) is expected to publish its follow-up review on the apprenticeship programme next week, during National Apprenticeship Week (NAW). The review, launched in July last year, is due to examine the extent to which the reformed apprenticeships programme is delivering value for money. In particular it was looking at whether the programme is achieving its stated goals and aims, whether progress has been made since the last NAO apprenticeships report in 2016 and if the DfE is ensuring the programme and levy system are not being abused.
