IfATE Consultation on a Simplified External Quality Assurance System

by | 0 comments

The Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE) has launched a consultation to look at ways in which the current system of external quality assurance (EQA) for apprenticeships might be simplified. They are proposing to move away from a system where EQA is delivered by a wide range of different organisations to one where EQA is delivered by either Ofqual or, for integrated degree apprenticeships, the Office for Students (OfS). The consultation closes on 9 April 2020. An introduction to the consultation, by the IfATE’s Chief Executive, can be read here and comment on the consultation can be read here.
