Government’s Commitment to the British Tech Sector Outlined

The Prime Minister, speaking at the London Tech Week, outlined a number of commitments to ensure the UK remains the largest tech hub in Europe. These include £153 million government funding into quantum technologies, up to £13.5 million new funding for an extra 2500 places on artificial intelligence (AI) and data science conversion courses next year, £5 million government fund to drive innovation in adult online learning and a study into tech competitiveness.

Jeremy Wright, Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, also spoke at London Tech Week and outlined the UK’s commitment to developing AI that benefits the economy and society, and how the government has been using this technology across the public sector.
