The Department for Transport have announced £2 million funding to bus operators for audio and visual on-board information to improve journeys for everyone including those with visual or hearing impairments. This announcement coincides with the launch of a campaign to highlight the part everyone can play in improving disabled people’s experiences when using public transport, called It’s everyone’s journey.
They have also published research into the relationships between transport and health and wellbeing.
