ETF Launches T Level Knowledge Hubs & Grants for Collaborative Teacher Improvement Projects

by | 0 comments

The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) has announced the launch of three regional Knowledge Hubs as part of their T Level Professional Development offer. This offer will help to ensure that FE providers in the first two tranches are T Level ready, as well as supporting those wanting to deliver them later. The Knowledge Hubs will help to ensure trainers have the teaching skills and subject knowledge to deliver the T Level programme through teacher development networks and collaborative activities. They will also engage with employers and professional bodies to ensure that learning and practice reflects industry needs. More information about the Hubs is here.

The Hubs will provide an opportunity for 2020, 2021 and future T Level providers to participate in sector-led, collaborative action research projects, known as Teacher Regional Improvement Projects (TRIPs). These aim to improve teaching practice in preparation for T Levels. Grants of £45,000 will be awarded to 50 collaborative TRIPs across England. Providers interested in finding out more about the TRIPs can attend one of the launch events. You can register for the one at Plumpton College on 7 May 12.30 – 16:00, here.
